Plusieurs couches de styles architecturaux différents forment le magnifique palais des Doges. Symbole du gouvernement et du patrimoine politique de Venise, ce palais historique était autrefois le siège des Doges – les premiers magistrats de l’ancienne République de Venise. Les fondations du complexe, tel que nous le connaissons aujourd’hui, furent posées au XIVe siècle. Au fil des ans, le palais a été reconstruit, agrandit et restauré à plusieurs reprises, créant un mélange époustouflant de styles artistiques et architecturaux allant du Médiéval à la Renaissance. Chef-d’œuvre gothique, le palais des Doges abrite des détails exquis comme des sculptures, des fresques, d’élégantes arches et de gracieuses colonnes. Les appartements du Doge, l’Armurerie, les Prisons, la Cour et les Loggias ont tous été magnifiquement restaurés, avec de nombreux trésors tapis dans chaque coin de ce majestueux palais. Cette icône historique abrite également le Museo dell'Opera et sa vaste collection d’art.
Established in 1792, Teatro La Fenice is regarded as one of the most respected venues in the history of Italian theater. Destroyed by fire three times, the theater was rebuilt, because of which it was named Teatro La Fenice (The Phoenix). Originally built by Gianantonio Selva, the later iterations were constructed by Tommaso and Giovanni Battista Meduna (1837) and Aldo Rossi (2003). Equipped with great acoustics, this premier opera house is among the best venues in town to watch superb opera performances, chamber music concerts, and ballets.
The Venice Jazz Club was born in 2006 after the closing of the Around Midnight Club. The Venice Jazz Club quartet is the group that usually plays here, but sometimes other jazz musicians come here as well. The club has great wine, sometimes hosts art exhibitions and is located between Campo Santa Margherita and the Accademia Bridge.
Situé dans l’ancienne église et école de la Carità, le bâtiment de la Gallerie dell'Accademia fut partiellement construit au XIIe siècle et terminé au XIVe siècle. L’académie des Beaux-Arts fut ouverte ici par le gouvernement napoléonien. Dans ses 24 salles, la galerie présente les œuvres d’artistes italiens tels que Andrea Mantegna, Piero Della Francesca, Cosmè Tura et Giovanni Bellini, mais aussi de Giorgione, Tintoretto, Paris Bordone et Moretto Da Brescia, pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns.
Al Vapore, the small music venue is located right off the mainland-side of the bridge to Venice in Marghera, which is directly on the other side of the tracks from the train station in Mestre. They very often host international jazz acts and world-class music concerts. Folks from all over the region come to Al Vapore to hear good live music in an intimate setting. It's one of the few places in Mestre where the entire family can enjoy a cultural entertainment and some tasty Italian grub.
Within the old Hospital of San Francesco lies a unique museum, dedicated to medical science. Museum of the History of Medicine of Padua or MUSME in short, showcases through its exhibits the history of medical practices that were used back when the hospital was still functional. Highly informative, the exhibits are also closely linked to the University of Padua.
Thirty years ago this gallery was a simple workshop of frames, a kind of cloths of the paintings. Then in 1993 the big jump and Studio Cd'arte began to work as a gallery with so much success than in 2000 it opened a new space not far. They are constatly organizing exposition of new talents, painters and photographers and bringing them to all the most famous fairs of the world, Usa, Japan, Europe. Of course one of the most accurate aspect are the frames!
This museum has been created in 1998 thanks to a collaboration between the city of Padua and a private collection of some of the most antique and precious instruments that can been considered as the predecessors of the modern ones used in the cinema. There are magical lanterns, antique devices used for projection, toy's lantern, and glasses that were used in order to create magical images and a kind of pre-cinema. Aside the permanent collection it also hosts temporary expositions all centered on ancient techniques like the shadow theater.

The palace is listed on the National Register of Historic Monuments. After consultations in 2006, restoration work was begun in 2007, the aims of the Bru Foundation being to restore the building in its original spirit and to create a venue for music. The building, with an overall area of 800 square meters, is on three levels. Its windows look out over a canal on one side and over the garden on the other. The ground plan is traditional Venetian.
The saying of this theater is to present cinema, music and theater under only one roof. Is property of the order of the Salesiani. It can host up to 400 people and is part of the chain Microcinema, as are lately implementing digital screenings. The scheduling includes film for children during the week and the latest successes during the week end. Its stage is also available for concerts of jazz and rock music and for classes of theater.
