Augarten Porzellan

Ceux qui cherchent à acheter quelque chose typiquement Viennois ne doivent pas chercher plus loin. Fondé en 1718, cet fabricant de porcelaine a produit de la belle porcelaine fait à la main depuis presque trois siècles. Deux motifs en particuliers y sont très populaire : la Rose de Vienne (Wiener Rose) et Maria Theresia (des plantes vertes), que vous pouvez voir sûr des plats, des verres, des vases, des cendriers, et des bougeoirs. Les créations en art déco noir et blanc de Josef Hoffmann sont aussi excellents; ils représentent la transition aux styles modernes.

Naschmarkt

Datant de 1774, l’immense marché alimentaire Naschmarkt attire toujours d’immenses foules et offre une atmosphère animée. Construit sur une longue esplanade au-dessus de la rivière, c’est un merveilleux endroit pour se promener et acheter une vaste gamme d’aliments internationaux. Les stands de viande, de poisson et de produits de première qualité sont prisés par les habitants bien nantis de la ville qui aiment s’y faire plaisir. Vous y trouverez aussi de nombreux bars à jus ainsi que le stand de sauerkraut le plus célèbre de la ville. En faisant le tour du marché, le paysage change et inclut aussi des produits chinois et indiens. Mariahilferstrasse

Après l'effondrement du rideau de fer, les quartiers à l'est de Vienne se sont entrés et Mariahlifer Strasse est devenu leur endroit de shopping; des promotions sur des articles ménagers et des enseignes en tchèque y sont devenus communs. Aujourd'hui depuis l'achèvement de la construction du métro, Mariahlifer Stresse a agrandi afin de comprendre plus de magasins : Virgin Mégastore, Turek, Peek & Cloppenburg, Mango, et H & M. Le samedi pendant la saison d'Advent la rue devient piétonne.

Graben

Au XIIe siècle le Graben (fossé) a été une douve d'eau en devant du rempart. Après avoir été rempli de terre il a été utilisé comme marché. Aujourd'hui il est toujours un lieu de commerce. Il y a beaucoup de vieux magasins bien établis au centre de Vienne : la bijouterie Haban et Heldwein, Meinl am Graben pour la nourriture gourmet, ou Schawbische Junfrau, vendant la literie. Aujourd'hui le Graben est une zone piétonne. En faisant du shopping n'oubliez pas de regarder les bâtiments de temps à autre - il y a des veilles maisons très belles avec des gâbles.

Prices are reasonable; although you won't find much that's cheap per se, the service is impeccable and the shopping is easy. Your only problem here will be deciding how many of each to buy!
