Perched on a hill facing the State Capitol, the George F. Berry House or The Berry Mansion as it is now known, is a magnificent estate in Frankfort. Built in 1900, the Colonial Revival stone structure has seen many owners and name change in the past. The ornate Gothic Revival music room is one of the most impressive features of this building. It was planned by noted architect William J. Dodd. It was used as the State Library till the State Libraries and Archives were built. This two story mansion houses state government offices on its second floor. However the first floor is open to the public for tours, events and conferences.
