"Famous Government Buliding"

The Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick is located on the banks of the Saint John River. It has housed the province's legislative assembly since 1882 after the original building burned down in 1880. A beacon of democracy, the Legislative Assembly is still active today though it now doubles as an important New Brunswick attraction. There are several notable paintings and gubernatorial portraits hanging from the historic assembly's walls, as well as a complete set of John James Audubon's famous Birds of America engravings in its library.
