A volunteer-run warehouse venue that operates on a not-for-profit basis, 1919 Hemphill was established in 2002. The donations it accepts are used to fund a free second-hand store, performing arts space, lending library and more. The DIY performace space is where many open mic nights and concerts are held. 1919 Hemphill also features a meeting space that can be used by various groups, free of charge.
