Jubilee Theatre

The Jubilee Theatre, founded in 1981, is located in Fort Worth's Sundance Square entertainment district. This fine venue acts as a showcase for the talents of African-American performers, writers and directors. While dramas and comedies have their place here, the specialty is musicals. The turn-of-the-century backdrop is superb, and Sundance Square's preservation of the city's past architectural styles complements the work that is going on inside Jubilee.

Texas Motor Speedway

Since 1997, this huge stadium with an oval track 1.5 miles in circumference and more than 150,000 seats in the Grandstand alone has provided racing lovers with all the thrills they could hope for. This is the second largest racing venue in the United States, behind the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. Events at Texas Motor Speedway include major NASCAR races, car shows and the Thursday Night Stampede, a weekly showcase of local racers. Speedway World offers souvenirs as well as tours of the speedway. The cafeteria is open on racing nights, and the onsite camping grounds can accommodate 6,000 people.

Scat Jazz Lounge

As its name implies, Scat Jazz Lounge is a live music venue specializing in jazz performances. This 1920's speakeasy style lounge features an interior combination of swank and retro decor, making it easy to imagine you really are drinking at a Prohibition Era joint. The place is literally underground; you have to take an elevator down below ground level to get in. Once inside, the jazzy performances, stiff drinks and classy, retro elegance make this a juice joint worth coming back to.

Billy Bob's Texas

This cavernous honky-tonk is America's 'Best Country Music Nightclub' according to both the Country Music Association and The Academy of Country Music. It's also one of the largest and most famous. Founded in 1981, Billy Bob's Texas offers enough room for 6,000 people to drink, play pool, play video games or dance to the live country music performed every night. Rodeo enthusiasts will enjoy the indoor arena where cowboys ride bucking bulls every weekend. Friday and Saturday night headliners are often among the biggest names in the industry, including Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Rimes, Hank Williams Jr. and Bob Hope. All have left hand prints, which are displayed in concrete around the club.

Globe Life Park

Opened in 1994, this beautiful ballpark is home to the American League's Texas Rangers. Located in Arlington, in a 270-acre (109-hectare) complex, the ballpark offers several modern features while visitors will also notice the homage to Texan history lining its walls. Fans of baseball will enjoy catching a game here. Few things beat watching a baseball game and enjoying a hot dog from the concession area.
