Sundance Square

Situated in the heart of downtown, this mercantile and entertainment district features 20 blocks of renovated storefronts from the turn of the century. The nostalgic buildings and red brick streets pay tribute to Fort Worth's heritage and provide a very popular place to find great shopping, food and live performances of all kinds. Green sightseeing trolleys make it easier to take in all the sights, while horse-drawn carriages might be the ride of choice for those wanting to add a Victorian flair to their tour. A tourist information center provides the inside scoop on the best Sundance Square has to offer.

Fort Worth Stockyards

This is a great way to experience Fort Worth's history. Fort Worth Stockyards was once the second-largest cattle market in the world. Renovated for tourism in 1976, the district brims with entertainment, including restaurants, shopping and Wild West performances. Events include the Chishold Trail Round-up, held annually in June, and the Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo, held annually beginning in January. Visit Stockyards Station, where there is even a small children's amusement park.

Hulen Mall

Strategically located near Texas Christian University amidst a host of office centers and towers, Hulen Mall is one of the most frequently visited malls in the area. It features more than 120 specialty shops and two anchor stores, Dillard's and Foley's. There are multiple clothing shops for men, women and children; you will also find shoes, sporting goods, home furnishings, jewelry, music and home entertainment. The food court holds 12 small eateries, with a huge shared dining area in the middle. Fashion shows and children's productions are also regular events here.

Ridgmar Mall

After a yearlong construction job, Ridgmar Mall stands at nearly twice its original size. Besides the anchor stores — Dillard's, Foley's, JCPenney, Neiman Marcus and Sears— there are 150 specialty shops, including enticing favorites such as Eddie Bauer and the Warner Brothers Studio Store. There are other stores dedicated to ladies apparel, sporting goods and jewelry as well. Food abounds with the presence of restaurants and eateries such as Chick-fil-A, El Fenix, Great American Cookie Co., Italia Express, Orange Julius and Ridgmar Bakery. The customer service department rents strollers, and there is plenty of free parking available around the mall.

Pinkie's Uncommon Treasures

Pinkies Uncommon Treasures is a unique boutique that offers a number of one-of-a-kind gifts and accessories. The shop's cowgirl roots show through in every piece, from its hand-crafted Texas-inspired jewelry to Western-style clothing. Pinkies Uncommon Treasures also carries a selection of furniture to ensure that your space matches the aesthetic of your cowgirl-fab wardrobe.
