Riessersee is a beautiful Alpine lake located near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria at an elevation of 785 meters (2575.5 feet) above sea level. The lake was artificially created in the Wettersteingebirge forest clearance in the Middle Ages. Today, Riessersee makes for a gorgeous summertime attraction, where visitors can cool off in the scintillating waters. Come winter, it turns into a splendid ice skating destination. The lake is also popular for bobsledding and features an old bobsleigh track that was built for the Olympic Winter Games in 1936.

Known to be the symbol of Kaufbeuren city, Fünfknopfturm is a Gothic five-button tower in Germany. It was built in the year 1420 to serve as the seat of the town’s fire watch. Used as a defensive tower in the present day, it features a bell that can be used to alarm the population in the nearby old town in case of an emergency. A shield installed on its east façade is a war symbol and a special feature of this building.
Situated against the backdrop of the beautiful mountainous landscape, St. Coloman is among Bavaria's most-photographed churches. Built in honor of the Irish pilgrim St. Coloman, this baroque church is situated at a lonely spot amid verdant meadows and under bright, clear skies. After the town was ravaged by the plague, many people who lost their lives were buried near the chapel, after which it was expanded. The onion dome of the church towers above the landscape, and the beautiful interiors are adorned with rich stucco decorations depicting angels, fruits, and shells. The tall altar, with a triple-column structure, depicts St. Coloman along with the Holy Trinity.
