De Slegte

De Slegte is a well-known name among Flemish bookworms. Besides Ghent, there are de Slegte shops in the other important Flemish cities as well. This shop, next to the Aula van de Gentse Universiteit, is stuffed to the roof with second-hand and new books from clearance sales. The subjects covered are immensely diverse: from literature over sports, esotery and ethics, to dictionaries and handbooks. You might also come across an antiquity here. Prices are very fair. You can rummage through no less than four floors. So do not dare leave this shop without having bought a fine piece of writing... Nearest car park: P6
