Park Lavrov stands in memory to the Finnish and Russian soldiers who fell during the Battle of Gorni Dabnik and the Siege of Plevna in the late 1870s. The memorial park is located in the Pleven Province of Bulgaria, and is named after the Russian general, Vasily Nikolayevich Lavrov. Built in the 1950s around the site of mass graves of over 3000 soldiers, the park was completely renovated in 1977, and a small Orthodox Chapel was added to it in 2004.
