Göteborgs Operan sports a main stage, a small stage, an elegant restaurant (with an excellent wine list and a menu separated into three acts), and various studios/workshops for everything from millinery and wig making to tanning and carpentry. High-tech methods co-exist with ancient painting methods and historical sewing techniques. Göteborgs Operan has its own choir, as well as a ballet company that has received a lot of acclaim.

The Skansen Krona fortress was built in 1641. The fortress' main purpose was to scare off the Danes, and it was also known as Juteskrämman (the Dane Scare). It was completed in 1695. Skansen Krona is built on a hill and therefore commands a grand view of the central parts of Gothenburg. The tower ornament is in the shape of a crown, hence the name (krona means crown). Today, the fort houses a military museum and is also used as a venue space for parties and weddings.

At Barnens Zoo the children can learn to play with animals in a safe and fun way. Refresh yourself at one of the several cafes and for the young children there is the Plikta playground. Slottskogen also plays host to some major concerts and festivals, especially in the summertime. Slottskogen is located next to Linnéplatsen, not very far from Gothenburg's city center.
Butik Kubik is a store combined with studio where Stina and Anna Borg Saltzman design and make clothes and Sara Ring designs, makes and repairs jewelry. You can also find products by other designers here. Every Wednesday at 6:30p the girls organize an event called Kväll i Källaren, "an evening in the basement." There you can see all kinds of performances, from concerts to poetry readings. The small size of the space makes the shows intimate and unique.
The Smyrnakyrkan, also known as The Smyrna Church in Gothenburg, Sweden is said to be one of the prominent Pentecostal churches in the country. The congregation was founded in 1922 and firmly believe in enriching and building a worldwide community to improve the life of its people. An intiative of the younger generation of the city, the Arena 29 is a place where people between the age group of 16 years to 20 years come together to showcase their talents. Concerts, performances as well as workshops are all encouraged here in order to provide a creative outlet to the youth. Members of Arena 29 are given their own keys to help them access the center as per their convenience. The venue also houses a cafe, and rehearsal and meeting rooms are all available so that these young minds can brainstorm and practice in peace.
The Elektronen is a local meeting place and community center in Kungsbacka which organizes many educational and artistic programs aimed mainly at the youth. It is equipped with a music and media studio, DJ rooms and meeting facilities where lectures and classes on subjects like photography, music production, film, art and drama are conducted. The center is also rented out for private functions such as parties, conferences, dance events, lectures and others. A group of qualified leisure assistants guide young members in choosing appropriate programs based on their likes and talents.
Chalmers Studentkår is the Student Union of the Chalmers University of Technology. This is where you can get your parking passes and generally attend to most student business such as paying tuition. From time to time the student union also hosts certain events.
