The Granbury Historic Railroad Depot is a historic landmark in Granbury that dates back to the year 1914. Maintaining an old-world charm, the depot serves as a window into the town's past, emphasizing the importance of railroads in the development of the region. The beautiful one-story brick building featured a red-tiled roof, wide eaves, two chimneys, and sash windows. With its old interiors largely intact, the building makes for an unmissable architectural attraction for visitors to the city. A small museum inside the depot is home to antique memorabilia and other railroad-related artifacts.

Acton State Historic Site

Located near Granbury, Acton State Historic Site is the historic grave site of Elizabeth Patton Crockett. Elizabeth was the second wife of Davy Crockett, the American folk hero, soldier, and politician. After she died in 1860, she was buried at the site, which also later became the grave site of her son Robert and his wife Matilda. A monument of Elizabeth looking for her husband in the distance was erected at the site in 1913. Today, the Acton State Historic Site is a significant landmark that pays homage to one of America's most celebrated folk heroes and his widow.
