Lomsdal–Visten National Park

The Lomsdal-Visten National Park is located in Norway and belongs to several municipalities, including Grane, Vefsn, Vevelstad, Brønnøy and most majorly Nordland, under the administration of the Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management. The Laplanders or Sámi people refer to it as Njaarken vaarjelimmiedajve. The land bears scars from harsh periods of time including the Medieval Black Plague and the World War II, and was only appropriated in 2009 CE as an area of protection. Its geography is varied, with a range of features like fjords, coniferous forests and alpine peaks.
