Heritage Hill State Historical Park is an open-air museum spread over 48 acres (19 hectares) in Green Bay. They aim at preserving historic buildings and is operated by the Heritage Hill Association. The park has almost thirty structures on display like log cabins, Bark Chapel, Allouez Town Hall, Baird Law Office, etc to name a few. The buildings are prominently from the 19th century and they have curators all over the place to help the tourists with the details. Open throughout the year, the state park also has various collectibles, books, costumes, etc from the 17th century on display.
Charles A. Grignon Mansion is a remarkable mansion that was built in 1837 by Charles A. Grignon for his wife as a wedding gift. This significant place has been listed on the State and National List of Historic Places. This elegant mansion can be visited up to 3rd September only during the weekends. The site conducts private tours for which prior appointment is needed. The mansion is a home to several exhibits and objects that were used by the Gringon family over the years. The mansion also conducts several events and gatherings.
Opened in 1983, the Neville Public Museum of Brown County is a trailhead of the Packers Heritage Trail. The museum is renowned for displaying exhibits relating to history, arts and science. It also organizes programs, lectures and films throughout the year. There is also a gift shop that is open all week selling jewelry, games, books, art pieces, etc.
The Meadowbrook Park is a wonderful grassy expanse with a basketball court and a nice, well marked trail. Enjoy a delightful outing at this park, away from the noisy city life. It also houses a good outdoor recreation space with a sledding hill. The Meadowbrook Park is an ideal picnic spot.
The Watering Hole was established by Tim and Kathy Brunette in 1969 as a small country bar. Over the years its popularity grew and so it the space. It features five indoor courts, a banquet room and two bars. The volleyball courts can be transformed into banquet areas as well. Enjoy happy hours and tasty bites at this friendly spot.
