"A National Historical Landmark"
During the Revolutionary War, the park grounds were the site of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, and is now recognized as a National Historical Landmark. Country Park has two fishing lakes, a leash-free dog park, hiking trails, playgrounds, paddle boats, and picnic areas, all of which have disabled access. Besides being a great spot for a family gathering or a date, the park also hosts charity walks and runs throughout the year for various organizations. Since vehicles are not allowed in the park on weekdays, holidays, and after 4:15pm on weekdays, a tram service provides transportation to the park during those times. Visitors will find the Guilford County Veterans' Memorial inside the park. The park is open daily from 8am until dusk.
