Lachlan Valley National Park comprises erstwhile Kalyarr National Park, the Booligal Station, and several nearby state forests. It was created in 2010 and spans an impressive 11,638 hectares (28,758 acres). The park lies thirty minutes outside the town of Hay in New South Wales. It is adjacent to both the Murrumbidgee and Lachlan Rivers, which you can hear running from many points in the forest. Visitors can gain entrance to Lachlan Valley National Park via an access road.
