Gruene General Store

Gruene General Store started as a small store for the sharecroppers who worked on Henry Gruene's land in the 20th Century. As the town lost its population over the years, the store lay forgotten in a corner until the 1980s, when it was restored as a souvenir shop. Today, it is home to an array of Texan treasures. When in town, visit the store to explore colorful paraphernalia such as local handicraft products, interesting souvenirs and memorabilia, old advertisement signs, Texan music collections, and other knickknacks. You can also try and take home their delicious gourmet coffee, jams, peanut butter, fudge, and other treats.
