"Delicious Pub Fare"
Located in one of the oldest buildings in the city which dates back to the 18th Century, The Auction House is an iconic pub which is named after its erstwhile function. The building was used during the 1840s as an auction house and in keeping with this business, a special dish or cocktail is auctioned several times a day with the proceeds going to charitable trusts. The place is known for more than just its historic heritage and is one of the best places to get some seafood delicacies or hearty pub fare. The historic atmosphere is accentuated by antique furniture and fixtures, glossy wood floors and glass lamps in curved brackets on pillars while live music gigs and other events are added incentives for a visit.
