"The Backyars Stadium"
Tim Hortons Field is a bit of a historical landmark in the Hamilton area. The stadium was erected in 1930, and from its nascent state, when it held the comforts and accommodations of backyard bleachers, it has undergone several retrofits. For locals, however, it has not lost its rugged character and charm. The stadium was home to the first Astroturf playing surface in Canada, and hosts the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football Team, winner of eight Grey Cup championships at Tim Hortons Field.
