"Mighty Canadian River"
The mighty Hay River flows through both Alberta and the expansive Northwest Territories. The river is an expansive 702 kilometers (436 miles) in length and includes two impressive waterfalls: Alexandra Falls and Louise Falls. The river flows first from the muskegs, or bogs, of northwestern Alberta before widening out on its journey to it destination: the Great Slave Lake. The river passes through many communities, including a town that it takes its name from the body of water.
