Christ the King Church

"Christ-Oriented Parish"

Established in 1940, Christ the King Church belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. It was originally a congregation for the African-American Catholics in the city, but has grown in number and spirituality to welcome a diverse community that is one in faith. The church building is of Colonial style architecture with a brick facade, stained-glass panels and a tall steeple. They serve masses in English and Spanish, and also hold Novenas and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
