Arrochar Alps

Found close to the hamlets of Lochgoilhead and Arrochar, Arrochar Alps are a breathtaking range of summits lying at the north end of Glen Croe. Home to lofty Munros, or mountains over 3000ft or 914m, the range is a haven for mountaineers and hiking enthusiasts. Ben Ime is the tallest peak among the range here, while Ben Arthur, locally known as ‘The Cobble’, is the most famous among intrepid travelers. The Arrochar Alps are typically frequented by experienced mountaineers, for the novice tourists however, the well-trodden forest walks are available.
