"Hill with a History"
A spellbinding mountain range, Beinn Mhanach is named after an ancient monastery that stood here. No ruins of the monastery can be seen today. Beinn Mhanach is found on Loch Lyon's north end and at a short distance from the town of Bridge of Orchy. Hikers can choose between two favored routes to climb the hill. One route has traversed slopes and it starts at Auch. Alternatively, hill climbers can approach Beinn Mhanach from the Achallader pasture land.
