"Trek to the Conical Summit"
To the north-west of Loch Lyon stands a hefty mountain by the name of Beinn a' Chreachain. The mountain, with its rather steep slopes, has a number of ragged edges topped by a conical summit. The summit can be accessed by treks via two routes. For one of the paths, ascent begins at the Crannoch Woods following north until the stile of Allt Coire an Lochain is reached, arriving at a small lake directly beneath the cliffs. Ascending eastward attains the ridge leading to the conical summit. The other access is from the Beinn Achaladair mountain using the ridge of Meall Buidhe to attain the summit.
