The Tasmanian Transport Museum continues to preserve the heritage of the various means of transport used in Tasmania in the bygone days. Locomotive engines, road transport exhibits, tram exhibits are some of the vehicles preserved by the museum. Though there are no passenger train services left in Tasmania, the museum provides locals as well as visitors a chance to experience a unique train ride in one of the locomotives on the first and third Sunday of each month. The Tasmanian Transport Museum is also a popular spot for photo shoots and movie shootings.
