Römermuseum Schwarzenacker

Located on the outskirts of Homburg, the Römermuseum Schwarzenacker is an archaeological excavation site and a history museum showcasing the life and culture of the Roman people who lived here around 275 CE. An open-air museum, most of its exhibits can be seen outside in its beautiful gardens which have been planted alongside the remains of buildings, grounds, roads and pillars. An 18th-century building designed by Jonas Erikson Sundahl serves as the museum headquarters and houses collections of paintings and Roman artifacts.
