"Homeground of Huntly F.C."

Situated on East Park Street in the town of Huntly, Christie Park is a football ground that is home to Huntly F.C., the team which is part of the Highland Football League. The ground opened in 1921 and is built to accommodate 2200 people, with 270 seated. In 1995, a record 4500 spectators watched the match between Dundee United F.C. and Huntly F.C. Earlier known as Strathbogie Park, it was renamed Christie Park in 1926 after Provost Christie, who donated the ground to the club. It was the first Scottish stadium to be closed down for two months in 1976 and was fined too when a match referee was knocked to the ground by fans who were moving across the pitch to the exit.
