U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum

The U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum is a nationally-famous war museum. It exhibits artifacts of the American Revolution War and is famous for preserving the Ford Pygmy, which is also recognized as World War II jeep. The museum showcases some of the oldest military vehicles as well as documents and information regarding the various wars in history. The onsite library is extremely informative with an in-depth detailing of facts and sources.

Weeden House Museum and Garden

The historic Weeden House has occupied its current location since the early 19th Century. A fine example of the Federal architectural style, this property served as the residence of Maria Howard Weeden among its many owners. Today the historic building as been converted into a museum that lends valuable insights into the life of the Maria Howard Weeden, through her poems and other memorabilia. The surrounding garden ,too, is a peaceful retreat that's perfect for some quiet contemplation after a tour of the house.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment

Located inside a site that used to function as a factory, the Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment basts of seven galleries, a community garden, several performance venues, a theater and approximately 152 studious that are used by nearly 200 artists. Thanks to these aforementioned features, the privately managed facility is regarded as one of the largest in the South.

Burritt On The Mountain

Burritt On The Mountain is a picturesque open-air museum featuring one of the oldest houses in the area. The Burritt Mansion belonged to a physician named William Burritt. It is an eclectic piece of art with unconventional and bizarre design elements. The initial structure used straw as an insulator which became the cause of it being burnt down later. It was reconstructed in the following years. Today, the museum showcases several 19th-century houses as well as holds events and workshops.

Alabama Constitution Village

A part of Earlyworks Museum Complex, Alabama Constitution Village consists of a post office, cabinetmaker's shop, law office, land surveyor's office, print shop and also a residence. These structures provide the visitor an insight into the life of the 19th century. Moreover, this site also serves as a host to the Santa's Village event annually, which is known to attract people all over from Alabama. These aforementioned features led to the inclusion of the Alabama Constitution Village in the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in October 1975.

Huntsville Museum of Art

Housed inside a pretty white building, the Huntsville Museum of Art pretty much defines the visual arts scene in Northern Alabama with its innovative range of exhibitions. Their permanent collection consists of a whopping 3,000 exhibits spread across fourteen galleries, while traveling exhibits showcase the best artworks from across the globe. Private events, wedding receptions and conferences can be organized here effectively, while the museum also has workshops, classes and musical events for kids and adults. A visit here is a consummate cultural experience for sure!
