Sermilik Fjord

Fed by the icy cold waters of the Helheim, Fenris, and Midgard glaciers, the ethereal Sermilik Fjord is located off the southeastern coast in eastern Greenland. The fjord's mouth occupies a space between Kitak Island and Cape Tycho Brahe, located along the Denmark Strait. Unfolding in an otherworldly panorama, the steely blue landscape of the Sermilik provides a sharp contrast to the craggy, mountainous landscape that encircles its coast. Along the way, the fjord is studded with diverse icebergs, some giant ice sculptures that seem to hold an entire world within, and other smaller ones that eventually melt away into the fjord.
