The densely wooded gorges navigate their way through the stunning carboniferous sandstone in Thorton Glen. Rivers Doe and Twiss run their course through these scenic gorges to form a medley of delightful waterfalls. Thornton Force is the most charming waterfall here. The site in which Ingleton Waterfalls Trail falls is rich in liverworts and woodland mosses. It is also the only site to feature long-leaved flapworth and Yorkshire feather moss.
