Götzens

Götzens is a holiday resort located right in between Axams and Innsbruck (which is only 7km away,) at 850 meters above sea level. It has about 3800 inhabitants and has a little nightlife in its café-bars and pubs - especially Bini's is worth mentioning, where a rather young clientele regularly takes advantage of the long opening hours. Of course, there is a local skiing school, the closest skiing area being the famous Axamer Lizum, offering 40km of well-groomed pistes of all levels of difficulty. For guests rather interested in the Nordic disciplines, there are local and regional runs and courses, five and 48 kilometers long respectively. Götzens also features its own toboggan run, which can be reached by a short walk to the Götzner Alm and leads back down to the valley on a length of about 4km. Götzen's offer of accommodations is diverse: from farmhouses to private apartments to inns, pensions, and hotels up to the four-star category, there's something for everybody
