Washington Irving's Sunnyside
"Author's Historic Home"
Home of Washington Irving is, as the name suggests, the home of Washington Irving. The author of classics like The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is immortalized not only in his literature but also in the home he built and lived in. The Irving family lived there until 1656 and in 1947 the home was made open to the public. The structure of the building is reminiscent of Spanish and Scottish architecture. The house has been maintained like it was when the author lived here and is a beautiful experience. Tours are available from May to November,
