"Significant Buddhist Heritage Site"

One of the few UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Pakistan, the Dharmarajika Stupa in Taxila was built sometime around 3rd Century BCE. The site includes the main stupa, several smaller stupas, as well as remains of a Buddhist monastery. The site is mainly famous due to the discovery of bone fragments of Buddha, one of the most significant religious figures in the world.
