Joan Gaspar is a spacious gallery situated in a building which once housed the famous Galeria Theo. It is located in an area that has always been famous for its exhibition halls. The owners of this gallery are famous since they were the first Picasso art dealers in the city. This place is dedicated to acclaimed artists such as Clavé, Miró, Picasso, Chagall, Chillida and Villèlia. However, works of younger artists such as Jubany and Sant Pol are also found here.
The Galería d'art Estrany - De la Mota is named for Antoni Estrany and Ángels de la Mota, the directors of the establishment. The gallery presents exhibits of contemporary art in several mediums, from photography to abstract sculpture and painting. It exhibits shows for contemporary artists from all over Spain and Europe.
Named after the gallery director, Galeria Toni Tàpies was opened in 1994. The gallery presents works by internationally known contemporary artists like Jeff Brouws, Sasha Weidner and Ann Veronica Janssens. The gallery regularly participates in a number of international and prestigious art fairs all over the world.
Set up by Davis Lisboa in the year 2009, Davis Lisboa Mini-Museum of Contemporary Art is the world's smallest museum exhibiting works of contemporary art. It also has a permanent collection of contemporary art works while the museum itself is a wonderful sculpture. Davis Lisboa Mini-Museum of Contemporary Art also organizes traveling exhibitions where the guests tour other cultural centers, institutions and museums. Its contemporary art assemblage has also won a praise from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Tucked away in the basement of the iconic Basilica Sagrada Família, Museu del Temple Expiatori de La Sagrada Familia documents the history and influence of the unfinished basilica. The 102 square meter (1097 square feet) features a collection of photographs, drawings, restored models and furnishings of the structure, the museum depicts the planning of the iconic structure. The exhibits depict the influence of various aspects on architect Antoni Gaudí, and its impact on the structures that were to follow.
