Bustling brasserie across the street from Ostend's railway station, claiming to be the city's oldest bar. The house dates from 1632 and used to house the city's only supplier of drinkable water to ships in the port - hence the name: Water House. Since 1832 it has served as a bar. The large interior has been nicely refurbished, there is also a big (covered and heated) terrace, where sitting for a drink is a real pleasure all year through. Food is decent, but do yourself a favour: within a range of 250 meters there are at least ten places serving you better food for less money.
The Art Café is located in the buildings of the PMMK (Museum for Modern Art), but the place is also accessible to non-museumgoers. Downstairs you can drink a beer or coffee, or enjoy a snack, upstairs is the trendy restaurant - with an excellent chef. This place is definitely a must for modern people.

The venue has something to offer for each age group, and is one of the oldest breweries in Bruges. They offer interesting packages for touring around their brewery, like meeting their brewers and getting a free bottle of Bourgogne des Flandres. For children below 10, they have a special quiz and exciting prizes at the end. For a group of 20 persons, the brewery lets the patrons blend their own beers. Apart from offering tours, they have a small bar, where patrons can taste their beers along with small snack bites. It is one of the best places to learn and know about the art of brewing.

One can taste a number of in-house beers which are made at the brewery. It has a gift shop where one can buy various souvenirs. The interiors are well decorated with stained glass design placed as the concave ceiling. It has an expansive terrace area where one can enjoy the city view while enjoying a glass of chilled Belgian beer.
