Underground City

The world's largest underground pedestrian network shelters locals from both the scorching heat of summer and the frigid winter winds. Although the area stays open as long as the Metro stations themselves, the best time to visit is when it is least crowded. It also remains popular as 'indoor city. Underground City shopping complex is also the world's biggest underground shopping arena.

Rue Sherbrooke

Rue Sherbrooke or Sherbrooke street is one the biggest and the most prominent shopping streets in Montreal. There are antique shops that have some of the most unique collections, as well as showrooms of many local, national and international brands of clothes, accessories and jewelry. Shopping aside, the street also has some mid and high-ranged spas which are perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Culture enthusiasts will be thrilled by the art scene here, for some of the best art and collectible shops such as Pointe-a-Calliere and Musee des Beaux-Arts are situated here.

Mount Royal Avenue

The main street of Mount Royal Avenue is known for large number of shops. Lined with shops that sell second hand articles and products like clothes, accessories, records, etc, visitors will be spoiled for choice. There are many restaurants and cafes on this lane that attract visitors too, for the culinary scene in Montreal is pretty impressive. Not only this, but the avenue also hosts and presents events like trade fairs, exhibitions, art showcasing, and more on a regular basis, ensuring that there's always a flurry of activity here.

Saint Laurent Boulevard

Affectionately known as "The Main," this ever-changing boulevard once represented the dividing line between Anglophone (west) and Francophone (east) Montreal. Streets number east or west from St-Laurent, and it is at various points the main drag in Chinatown, the Plateau and Little Italy; all are worth exploring. The most famous strip is likely that between Sherbrooke Street and Mont-Royal Avenue : moving south to north, culinary and post-culinary standouts include Buona Notte, Globe, the Bifteck, Tokyo, Schwartz's, Moishe's and the Belmont sur le Boulevard.

Quartier DIX30

An entertainment and shopping center on the outskirts of Montreal, Quartier DIX30 is an expansive shopping and entertainment district.
