Known as a place to bring the kids, Brewster's is located in an old 'Icehouse', built in 1932. Throughout the building, you can see some of the original designs and embellishments, however it still has a modern ambiance. The establishment is very family oriented, with a playground in the back for the little ones and a kid-friendly menu, there is no need to call a babysitter. The kitchen serves American comfort food and throughout the week, different acts take the stage, from hip-hop to country/western.
Family-owned Wallbangers Gourmet Hamburgers has been around for ages, and throughout the last few decades, the place has never failed to deliver. Here's how it works: order and wait for your name to be called, then head to the bar and select your veggies and sauces. Their stuffed burgers are considered some of the best in the region as well as the entire state of Texas. The burger joint is also known to serve some massive burgers - in fact, Wallbangers dares its guests to finish off the 3lb. beef behemoth.
Think checkerboard counters, booth-seating, pitchers of beer and better-than-average pizza. The atmosphere exudes nostalgia from the 1970's and although some might find it old-fashioned, the pizza usually makes up for it. The prices are reasonable and on the menu guests will find a mix of food besides pizza, as the kitchen also serves sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. On weekends, Panjo's occasionally has live music and there are a few video games for the kids.
