Mi Piaci is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city and is perfect fo a night of good food and elegance. The restaurant captures the essence of Italian dining with its atmosphere that's calm and unhurried. The food has great traditional flavors and textures with the bruschetta, crab cakes, lobster stuffed ravioli and the chicken piccata being among the favorites. The Creme brulee and tiramisu are a must try for dessert. They have an excellent wine list that complements the Italian food really well and also serve a wide range of beer and spirits. The service is top notch, the decor is fabulous and minimalistic, staff is efficient and attentive and the ambiance is relaxing, making this restaurant an all round winner.
It seems that wood-fired pizza is the way-to-go if you want your restaurant to be ultra-successful, and by the looks of the crowded tables at this restaurant, it appears the owners are doing something right. The menu is simple, as there are only a few items per category, but each option is made with care and the best ingredients. In fact, the kitchen even makes its own handmade mozzarella. The pizzas are equally uncomplicated, the Marinara and Margherita have less than four ingredients and the 'Smoked' just has bell pepper, fennel sausage and smoked mozzarella. One other benefit is that the restaurant allows guests to bring-your-own-bottle; this only adds to the reasons why you should come here.
This nondescript, no-frills Italian restaurant is deceptive with its ordinary facade, because the dishes here are some of the best from the 'Boot' this side of the border. In addition to all the traditional favorites you'll find elsewhere like Veal Marsala, Chicken Parmagiana, the kitchen also allows you to create-your-own dish which includes your choice of pasta, sauce, veggies and meat. The trattoria also sells sausage by the foot, so if you choose not to dine, you can always buy some to take home and test your skills in the kitchen as well!
