Located on Ringstedvej road in Køge, Borrering is an old fortress. This Trelleborg-type fortress is known to have been named after a nearby forest. This Viking ring fortress is 145 meters (475.7 feet) wide. The former king of Denmark and Norway, Harald Bluetooth is believed to have built this circle-shaped fortress. Bluetooth is said to have built another circular fort in Lellinge. In 2014 when the archaeologists excavated the area, they found several gates that are believed to have been built in the 10th century.
