This might look like a traditional English pub from the outside, but it isn't; it is Scottish. Kilts, fishing equipment, bagpipes leave you with no doubt. You can choose from 70 different whiskeys, ranging from ordinary Johnny Walker to 25 year-old Bowmore, a single-malt. The clientele consists mostly of 30-somethings drinking McEwans (of course). Live music is played every day.

Apollo is Copenhagen's first brewery and restaurant, located next to the Tivoli Gardens main entrance. Live jazz performances occur on the first Sunday of every month, accompanied with a special menu. The beer is cloudy and delicious, as it is both unfiltered and unpasteurized. The restaurant offers a small but varied range of dishes, some containing beer. In the earlier days, this area was a known haven for prostitutes. To avoid rumours that Husmanns Vinstue was a brothel, Adelaide Husmann (a woman) totally banned women from entering her bar. It was finally lifted in 1953, but until 1981 women were allowed only when accompanied by men. Today, Husmanns Vinstue is a classic wine cellar and pub, and offers the same ambience it did in 1907, when Husmann was still around.

One of the country's oldest gay bars, Centralhjørnet is a relaxed space offering a lively calendar of events and some of the friendliest staff in town. From drag shows and fun theme nights to live piano and jazz, there's something always happening at the bar. Exposed-brick walls and an old-world ambiance are the only giveaways to the bar's historic character. There's a little outdoor area as well where you can enjoy your drinks. Located on Sankt Peders Stræde, Din Nye Ven, is a friendly, neighborhood watering hole in Copenhagen K. Although the interiors are somewhat dated, the ambiance is lively and interesting, thanks to the awesome music that flows around the place. A great place to retire to after work with a few friends, Din Nye Ven offers a range of local beers, wines and spirits at great prices. Interesting DJ spin here most evenings, apart from that they often have cultural events happening.
