Mojo

Cherish your Mojo, like Mike Myers in Austin Powers and visit Mojo's blues bar in Copenhagen, with live blues every single night. In the evenings, live bands are on from about 10:30p, but acoustic blues often starts at 9p. On Fridays and Saturdays, an admission fee is charged, but on all other days admission is free. Mojo has a happy hour between 8p and 10p, during which draft beer can be bought for half price. Dancard is accepted.

Café Intime

Café Intime is a treat. Here, in the middle of kitschy souvenirs and a cozy ambiance, they serve reasonably priced drinks. The owner and hostess will most likely sing cabaret tunes that make you think of Weimar Berlin rather than Copenhagen. The majority of the clientele is gay, but everyone is welcome.

Loppen

Loppen has in its fairly short history fought against violence, close-down threats and aversion, but has survived because of the strength of its non profit-making organization. With its location in the free city of Christiania, just next to Pusher Street, these conflicts may come as no surprise. Overcoming all odds, Loppen has fought for the good reputation it has now achieved. The club aims at a minimum of four concerts a week, in which the style is rock as well as alternative and pop. Some famous names on the program in the past have been The Verve, Smashing Pumpkins, Blur and The Cardigans. For bigger international concert names, tickets can often be booked in advance through Billetnet or Sex Beat Records.

Bang & Jensen

BrewPub enjoys a Central location, just a few minutes away from the City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). The local microbrewery is housed within a charming old, 17th-century building on Vestergade. BrewPub offers several kinds of American-style beers midst vibrant and thorough uber-modern decor. Bryggeriet Apollo

Apollo is Copenhagen's first brewery and restaurant, located next to the Tivoli Gardens main entrance. Live jazz performances occur on the first Sunday of every month, accompanied with a special menu. The beer is cloudy and delicious, as it is both unfiltered and unpasteurized. The restaurant offers a small but varied range of dishes, some containing beer. Masken

Masken or the Mask is a cozy hangout for gays and lesbians with a taste for cheap beer and backgammon. The atmosphere is relaxed and the bar is a good place to start off the evening. The location is also convenient, with several bars within short walking distance. Cozy, with subdued lighting, the bar also has good and cheap draught beer.
