This was the home to the Schreiner family and now houses the Hill Country Museum in Texas. The museum is operated by the Schreiner University.It is a National Historic Site and a Texas Historic Landmark since 1975.
Fredericksburg is a historic city in the Gillespie County of Texas. Founded in 1846 and named after the former Prince of Prussia, the town flourished with the arrival of German immigrants to Texas, who referred to it as "Fritztown". Interestingly, Fredericksburg is famous in the country for Texas German, a dialect of the German language developed by the first German settlers.
