Cllub Quattro is Hiroshima's answer for everything rock 'n' roll. Bright lights, stiff drinks, and a huge sound system are the name of the game, and both touring acts and local favorites rock the house on a regular basis.

Grog

Grog (gotta love that name!) is a relatively new, very chic cocktail bar located next to Okonomi-mura. Furnished with simple, minimal decor, its atmosphere comes from its dark, sexy lighting and plain glass windowing, which looks out onto the street and Parco. There is seating for eight to ten at the bar, or you can go for the more intimate two-to-four-seater, high tables. It is a good place to go as a couple for some late-night romancing, or as a small group to end a night out.

Cross

The sign at the start of the staircase says "What a hell going on," and one might well wonder at this dimly lit, top floor space with a balcony view. Deep and dark house, soul and funk music is the norm here, with guest DJs or live bands prompting the occasional cover charge. The music is good, but the dance floor, as there is not really enough space for grooving. This actually keeps Cross from getting too crowded. The usual run of drinks is served at JPY700 each. Opens daily at 8pm.

Tropical Bar Revolucion

One of the neighborhood's most loved watering holes, Tropical Bar Revolucion is a fine choice to spend lighter moment with friends, over a round of drinks. With just dim, mood lights illuminating the place, the bar is set perfectly for a casual outing and bit of socializing. The tropical-inspired cocktails take center stage at this bar. The exclusive concoctions such as the daiquiri, martini, and zombie are ones that you simply can't miss.

Kemby's

An American-style sports bar, Kemby's has become a popular first (and last) stop for drinks and Western food among Hiroshima's expatriates. The bar also supports a large number of local customers. Laid-back and friendly, if sometimes hectic—it is a good place to eat, drink, meet friends or check out a local band. Beer selection is limited, but the mixed drinks list is impressive. Kemby's is a popular location to watch big sports matches.

El Barco

Opened in 1999, Barcos is the place to unwind and dance away till way into the morning. A popular haunt among the young crowd, the party begins at night. Nosh on tasty bites if you are peckish and tipple on quality drinks. Groove to the tunes of well-known DJs. They even host live music regularly to keep their entertainment ante up.
