Mutiny Now is the only bookstore on the trendy midtown Broadway stretch, but it deserves to be there as much as the other trend-setter shops nearby. Mutiny Now specializes in used and rare books, with over one thousand used books alone in stock, and the owners run daily book groups, donation drives, and other events to help promote literacy in Denver. The atmosphere is more like an indie coffeehouse than a bookstore, the staff is well-informed and friendly, and the chairs and reading areas in the store make it a great alternative place to meet up with friends. Mutiny Now both is the edgiest bookstore in Denver and a cause worth supporting.
Featuring emerging designers as well many already established ones, Fancy Tiger Clothing is know for its well-curated selection of clothes for both men and women. While maintaining quality, this trendy boutique features items that won't break the bank, from the perfectly fitting t-shirt for under 30 bucks to designer denim. Their collection of jewelry is also quite impressive with geometric shaped earrings, stunning statement necklaces, oversized rings and more.
Breeze Ski Rental is an amazing store especially catering to ski and outdoor gear. The equipment are also available on rent.
Located downtown in Sakura Square, the Pacific Mercantile Company imports a wide variety of Asian grocery items including noodles, rice, seasonings, frozen food, cooking utensils, Sanrio products and more. The shop looks more like something one would find in San Francisco, or Seattle's Pike Street market. Nevertheless, the selection is the best in the Denver area. Because it is so un-Denver like, it is just fun to roam around this store. Sakura Square also has a Japanese gift shop and bookstore.
