The Misquamicut State Beach which is a part of the three-mile (4.8 kilometer) long Misquamicut Beach, was deemed a state park in 1959. The state park today features several facilities like parking areas, hot and cold showers, changing rooms, restrooms, first aid and much more. Misquamicut State Beach is also the venue for the annual music festival Misquamicut Springfest.
