The Eichmuhle lies in the charming village of Regenstauf. Lying along the banks of the river Regen, this old mill stands in Bavaria, Germany. Dated from the 15th Century, this mill is still in use today as its water wheel produces electricity. An interesting history surrounds this mill as its owner, Anna Bayer was prosecuted in a witch trial upon being declared as a witch in 1686. Currently, there is a French restaurant and a beer garden located on this site.
Located across Hauzensteiner Straße is the Sporthalle, and part of the Realschule an der Salzstraße, this multi-functional sports hall hosts local sporting events and other functions. They are primarily used for school sporting events but are also capable of hosting regional events.
A scenic display of Germany's rich ecology, Regen River Valley or Regental is a canvas of nature's colors. Passing through several towns and cities in the Bavarian Forest, the left tributary of the Danube and its environs form one of the richest habitats. From pine forests, Riparian forests to silver grass fields, the valley is an awe-inspiring treasure chest of Bavarian nature. Hidden in the recesses of the forest are the ancient castle ruins of Stockenfels and also Castle Stefling.
