Starting off as a modest production house and staging two of the Bard's plays around two decades ago, the Orlando Shakespeare Theater today has a permanent house to feature an entire catalog of Shakespeare's works. The 50,000 square foot complex houses various theaters. Aside from staging the works of the Bard through 29 in-house productions, adaptations of prominent books are also undertaken such as Robinson Crusoe, A Christmas Carol, Dracula and Frankenstein.

Palm Cottage Gardens was the home of legendary horticulturist, Dr. Henry Nehrling who acquired the estate to build a garden where he could research subtropical and tropical plants all through the year. It was the first of the experimental botanical gardens in Florida and was a much visited garden in the 1900s with the likes of Thomas Edison and Theodore Roosevelt visiting it. Today only six acres (2.43 hectares) of the original 60 acres (24.28 hectares) remain which includes the house and gardens. It is now owned and maintained by the Henry Nehrling Society.
The Robert Bruce Barbour House is beautiful farmhouse located in the lap of Winter Park. Also known as Casa Feliz, it was built 1932 by the renowned architect James Gamble Rogers II. The property which was previously used as a residence by Mr.Barbour, has now been converted into a museum. The interiors as well as the exteriors are reminiscent of Spanish style and the exhibits include the beautiful work of James Gamble Rogers II. This spectacular historic property is also available as a rental space for private events like weddings and meetings.
The Waterhouse Residence Museum gets its name from the late accomplished architect and skilled carpenter himself called William H. Waterhouse. The house simply reflects the unique abilities of the carpenter and is filled with some rare antique and artifacts of his age. The Museum lets you witness the wonderful period furniture, antiques and some great tools. This historical house is located right on the ground of the lovely Lake Lily park, where in you can also spend some time walking around the park area.
