This down-to-earth English-style pub is filled to the brim during soccer and rugby match days, and has become massively popular with Anglophiles and British expats. The place is well-stocked with beers on tap, and graced with a large garden and outdoor seating area that recalls a beer garden. The menu is full of items that pair well with a swig of decent beer, but is dominated by burgers. First-timers often return for the house burger specialties, which are cleverly named: The Rolls Royce, Chicken Butterfly Miso, and King Henry IV are ruled by the Great Beefburger.

Visitors should not take the name of this restaurant and cocktail bar literally, although the food is quite good. A worldly tapas bar, Eat Me serves international cuisine on small plates. The goal is to have diners sample diverse cuisines in bite-sized portions, from street foods to sophisticated dishes from the globe over. In many cases traditional dishes are reinterpreted with modern flair. Dinner served here satisfies the most experienced traveler. Skagenröra, a Swedish seafood and cream soup, is offered along grilled Ibèrico pork steak, for example. The menu, in fact, is organized by world region, from the Americas to Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The restaurant is a perfect place to pair a dish with a “culinary cocktail” and tell old travel tales.

The dozen characteristic arches under the 19th-century Grand Pont Bridge are great for taking a break from walking around Lausanne, and are also the home of Les Arches café and pub. During the day the café is full of people spilling in from the Place de l’Europe, and enjoying the outdoor seating on a sunny day. At night, the arches are lit in neon colors, and the bar turns into a kind of under-the bridge nightclub, serving drinks, cocktails, appetizers, and full dinners from a fixed menu. Les Arches is a unique urban bar in the center of one of Lausanne’s busiest squares.

Il Bleu Lézard è uno dei bar e ristoranti più popolari di Losanna. Dal 1985 MAD ha offerto una bella atmosfera con bravi dj su quattro piani di un magazzino ristrutturato che include tre sale insonorizzate, quattro bar e un ristorante. Ci si può fare soci. Si può anche affittare per occasioni speciali. Costi: CHF82 per non membri e soci possono fare entrare due ospiti.

Il club D! era in origine un teatro, poi un cinema e infine è stato trasformato in un club che ha aperto le porte nel 1996 per i più nottambuli. Questo posto alla moda è adatto a giovane e chiccosi, anche se qui ci si trova di tutto. Grande musica, belle luci e drink lo rendono perfetto per la serata. Il club organizza anche spettacoli dal vivo sia cabaret che commedia e gli spettacoli che a volte si possono conoscere attraverso internet.
