This church was established in 1605 just outside the city walls. During a tumultuous recatholization attempt in 1622, the head of the monastery, Fidelis von Sigmaringen, was slain by the reformed population despite military protection; Benedict XIV beatified him. A few monks still live in the monastery today.
Adolf-Dietrich-Haus is a beautiful, rustic house that was the home and work studio of the famous painter. Inside, a museum dedicated to some of his best artworks can be seen up close. An unfinished work of the painter, along with his instruments have also been well preserved. To truly admire art and the artist, a visit to this museum is mandatory.
Sprawling across 2,000 square meters, Naturmuseum offers an insight into the local minerals and animals. The exhibits feature general information on ecology, the geology of the region, and life in prehistoric times. You will come across the landscape relief of cantons and exhibits of the bear forest which feature native carnivores. One of the most important exhibits includes the skeleton of a duck-billed dinosaur. Take a guided tour of the museum if you wish to gain a deeper insight into the featured exhibits.

It was built in 1845-48 by Felix Wilhelm Kubli as a cross church. In contrast to the traditional form of the longhouse, two squares are often added together in the floor plan of Querkirchen. The pulpit is erected in the middle so that every worshiper can hear and see the preacher equally well.
