Attend a match at the Hammons Field while touring the city. It was built by the well-known personality John Q Hammons, who was a businessman and hotel mogul. Established in the year 2004 under the architect Pellham-Philips-Hagerman. The stadium has hosted the popular regional sports event called the Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament in the years 2004, 2007 and 2012. It is the home ground of the teams called Springfield Cardinals and Missouri State Bears.

Popularly known as the oldest and the second largest theater that is yet in operation is the Landers Theater. The theater was not only renowned for the entertainment it offered to the people living in that area but was best known for it's architectural beauty that was designed in the Neo Classical style of architecture.
